Your documents, kept safe.
Vaultara holds your identity, education and health records, lets you share each one with exactly the people you choose, and keeps a record of everything that happens.
Sample documents shown for illustration.
Upload once, find it in seconds.
Add a PDF, JPEG or PNG, give it a name and a category, and it is in your vault. Search by name or filter by category whenever you need it.
- Identity, education and health categories
- Files up to 500 KB, checked before they are saved
Share with exactly one person.
Pick a document, enter an email address, and only that person can open it. They need a verified email, so a stranger cannot sign up as them.
- Family ID links the people in your household
- Only the owner can delete or change who has access
Every action leaves a record.
Sign-ins, uploads, shares and deletions are written to an activity log that you can read and nobody can edit, so you can always see what happened and when.
What keeps your documents private.
Private by default
An uploaded document can be read only by the account that owns it, until the owner shares it.
Sharing needs a verified email
People you share with, and members of your family group, only see documents after they verify their email address.
Family IDs work like passwords
A Family ID is 16 random characters. Anyone who has it can see documents tagged to it, so share it only with people you trust.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Vaultara runs on Google Firebase, which encrypts data in transit and at rest. Access rules are enforced on the server, not just in the page.
Vaultara is a student project. It is not affiliated with any government body and does not replace official services such as DigiLocker.
